Senate to Consider Yusuf Yusuf’s Nomination After Alkali Declines NLRC Role

President Bola Tinubu has nominated Yusuf Muhammad Yusuf as a commissioner of the Nigerian Law Reform Commission (NLRC) following the rejection of an earlier offer by Fatima Alkali. Senate President Godswill Akpabio read the president’s letter during plenary, formally notifying lawmakers of the replacement and requesting expeditious confirmation of the new nominee. “I write to request the confirmation of the appointment of the commissioner of the Nigerian Law Reform Commission in accordance with the provisions of section 2(1) of the Nigerian Law Reform Commission Act 2022,” the letter (…)
