Akpabio, Barau Clash Over Screening of Ex-Senator Kaura for SSDC Board

Senate President Godswill Akpabio and his deputy, Barau Jibrin, expressed differing views over the screening of Tijani Yahaya Kaura, a former senator, before his confirmation as a board member of the South-South Development Commission (SSDC). Kaura, who previously represented Zamfara north and chair of the senate committee on federal character, was nominated by President Bola Tinubu to represent the north-west geopolitical zone on the SSDC board.
