Nigerian Military Arrests NURTW Members for Allegedly Supplying Arms, Uniforms to Terrorists in Borno

Troops of the Nigerian military have detained two members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, Isah Abdullahi and Abdullahi Mohammed, for allegedly transporting arms and military uniforms intended for terrorists in Borno State. Major General Markus Kangye, Director of Defence Media Operations, announced the arrests during a briefing on military operations across Nigeria on Thursday, July 17, 2025.
