N’assembly suspends plenary till July 22 to honour Buhari

The national assembly has suspended legislative activities in honour of Muhammadu Buhari, former president of Nigeria. Buhari died on Sunday in a clinic in London, following a prolonged illness. Kamoru Ogunlana, clerk of the national assembly, announced the development in a statement issued on Monday. “I am directed by the president of the senate and the speaker of the house of representatives to inform all members of the national assembly and the general public that all legislative activities are hereby suspended immediately until Tuesday, 22 July, 2025,” the statement reads. “All members (…)
