Bayelsa Polytechnic Workers Take to the Streets Over Withheld June Salaries

The Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) of the Federal Polytechnic Ekowe in Bayelsa State has embarked on a protest over the withholding of their June 2025 salaries and check-off dues. The protesting workers shut down the institution's liaison office and the Rector's lodge in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital.The union is demanding the immediate release of their withheld June 2025 salaries and check-off dues.NASU accused the Rector, Dr. Lukman Adegoke, of executive rascality and abuse of office for disregarding the window given to settle the issue out of court.The union had gone on strike from (…)
