Prince sues Lagos government over battle for Osolo of Isolo position

The battle for the Osolo of Isolo stool has taken a legal turn as Prince Adetokunbo Yekini-Goloba has filed a suit at the Lagos State High Court, seeking a declaration that he is the rightful occupant of the throne.In suit number LD/13362/2005, Yekini-Goloba is challenging the installation of Prince Isa Abiodun Shekoni-Faronbi as the Osolo of Isolo, describing the process as unlawful and in breach of traditional succession procedures.Listed as defendants in the suit are; the Lagos State Government, its Attorney-General, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, the (…)
