Fire Guts Ibadan Shopping Complex, Destroys Properties Worth Millions

A devastating fire incident occurred at a shopping complex in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, destroying properties worth millions of naira. The fire affected five out of the 10 shops in the building, which is located beside Akin-Alamu Building on Papa Alakia Isebo Road.According to Moroof Adebayo Akinwande, Special Adviser to the Governor on Fire Service Reform and Agency Chairman, the fire was caused by an electric surge that ignited nearby combustibles.Fortunately, no casualties were recorded in the incident.
