Controversy Erupts Over Renaming of Ibadan Poly

Students and alumni of The Polytechnic, Ibadan have rejected the decision to rename the institution after former Governor Dr. Victor Omololu Olunloyo. The decision was announced by Oyo state Governor, Seyi Makinde, at a commendation service in honour of the late Olunloyo.The students and alumni described the decision as unjustified and degrading, citing concerns that it disregards the rich heritage and history of the institution.
