Quincy Promes Extradited to Netherlands for 7-Year Prison Sentence

Quincy Promes, a former Dutch international footballer, has been extradited to the Netherlands to serve a 7.5-year prison sentence for drug trafficking and aggravated assault. Promes, 32, was convicted in February 2024 for his involvement in smuggling 1,360 kilograms of cocaine into the Netherlands and Belgium in 2020.That followed an 18-month sentence for stabbing his cousin, but he has been absent from the Netherlands and therefore not served any time.
