The Lagos State Government has attributed the closure of the popular abattoir market located in the Agege area of the state to unsafe and unhygienic practices by traders in the market.The market was shut on Thursday following a visit by the state Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, details of which he shared on his X page.In a video accompanying the post, Wahab disclosed that the market was shut because the government had observed that some people were sleeping in the market alongside animals.Wahab, while addressing the traders, also disclosed that he was (…)
