Nigerian-American convicted for $80m fraud faces fresh charges

A Nigerian-American man, Omoyoma Okoro, currently serving a 100-month prison sentence for his role in a massive $80 million fraud scheme, now faces new charges that could add up to 30 more years behind bars and result in the revocation of his U.S. citizenship. In a statement released by the U.S. Department of Justice, Okoro was convicted in September 2024 by the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania on multiple counts, including conspiracy to commit mail, wire, and bank fraud.
