Kano State Seeks Compensation for Cancelled Durbar Celebrations

The Kano State Government has requested compensation from the Federal Government for the cancellation of the Durbar celebrations for two consecutive years. The state's Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Tajo Uthman, made the call on Sunday during the Sallah homage paid by the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II, to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
