NNPP suspends four federal lawmakers over ‘anti-party activities’

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Kano state says it has suspended four of its national assembly members over alleged anti-party activities. Announcing the decision on Monday, Hashimu Dungurawa, NNPP chair in Kano, said their suspension followed “recent actions” that contradicted the party’s principles and objectives. The affected lawmakers are Kawu Sumaila, senator representing Kano south; Abdullahi Sani Rogo, lawmaker representing Rogo federal constituency; Abdullahi Rurum, representing Rano/Kibiya; and Ali Maadakin Gini, representing Dala federal constituency. “These members were (…)
