Egbetokun describes Adeleke’s claims linking him to Osun violence as ‘unreasonable allegations’

Kayode Egbetokun, the inspector-general of police (IGP), has refuted allegations by Ademola Adeleke, governor of Osun, linking him to the violence in the state. On Monday, five persons were reportedly killed when supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and those of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) clashed over the attempted resumption of sacked LG chairpersons. Adeleke accused the IGP of allegedly colluding with the APC to enforce a non-existent court order reinstating the sacked LG chairpersons and councillors.
