NNPCL has not imported petrol in 2025 — Kyari

The Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company, NNPC, has clarified that the company has not imported a single litre of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, since the beginning of 2025. In a statement on Tuesday, NNPC spokesperson Olufemi Soneye conveyed Kyari’s remarks at the 60th Nigeria Mining and Geosciences Society, NMGS Conference in Abuja. According to Kyari, the claim by detractors that NNPC imported 200 million litres of fuel in the last days of February 2025 is entirely false.
