UCH resident doctors embark on indefinite strike over prolonged power outage

Members of the Association of Resident Doctors (ARD) at the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan, Oyo state, have embarked on an indefinite strike. NAN quoted Uthman Adedeji, the association’s secretary in Ibadan, as saying that the strike was due to power outage in some of the hospital’s residential areas. The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) reconnected UCH on Wednesday, after more than 100 days of blackout.
