Lagos assembly passes vote of confidence in Meranda, adjourns plenary indefinitely

Members of the Lagos state house of assembly have passed a vote of confidence in Mojisola Meranda, the speaker, following rumours of her possible resignation. Oladipo Ajomale, member representing Oshodi-Isolo constituency 2, moved the motion, affirming the assembly’s trust in Meranda’s leadership during Monday’s plenary. The motion was seconded by Gbolahan Ogunleye, who represents Ikorodu Constituency 1.
