Nigerian Navy arrest suspected drug smugglers, recover exhibits in Lagos

The Nigerian Navy said its personnel, on Monday, February 10, 2025, arrested drug smugglers in Lagos State.This was contained in a post on its official Facebook page on Friday.It wrote: “On Monday 10 February 2025, Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) BEECROFT Quick Response Team (QRT) stationed at Tarkwa Bay intercepted a large wooden boat enroute Benin Republic.“The boat had 7 suspects onboard, 408 empty drums, 3 pumping machines and 8 Yamaha 40HP outboard engines.”The Navy also revealed that on Monday, 10 February, 2025, NNS BEECROFT QRT apprehended 2 suspects smuggling cannabis sativa around Topo, (…)
