ISWAP, Boko Haram fighters clash in Northeast Nigeria

A clash between rival terrorist factions has led to the deaths of several fighters from the Islamic State West Africa Province, ISWAP, and the Bakoura-led Boko Haram. The confrontation occurred east of Mallam Fatori in Borno State, near the border with Niger Republic, towards the eastern part of Boso. Security analyst and counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama stated that “the fighting led to the deaths of dozens of terrorists on both sides, with several fighters sustaining severe injuries.” Reports indicate that the clash resulted in heavy casualties. “The two groups have been engaged (…)
