Immigration Service raises alarm over influx of illegal immigrants in Cross River

Authorities of Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, in the Cross River State have raised the alarm over the influx of illegal immigrants in Calabar.“There are too many illegal immigrants, especially from neighbouring Cameroon. And we’re doing everything legally possible to ease them out or officially repatriate them,” Mrs Arisha Ginika who represented the state comptroller of Immigration, Prisca Ogbodo, said.She spoke at a workshop on effective oversight, monitoring and implementation of the Administration of Criminal Justice law in Cross River State, organised by an NGO, Cleen (…)
