Thieves, buyer face prosecution over stolen N5m car sold for N800,000

Four men facing a charge of car theft have confessed to stealing a vehicle valued at N5 million in the Adamawa State capital, Yola, and selling it for N800,000. The men who were arraigned before Chief Magistrate Court 2, Yola, pleaded guilty to the charge of ‘criminal conspiracy, theft, abetment, dishonesty, and receiving of stolen property’. The four defendants include Yusuf Mohammed Isah, 25; Mohammed Gidado, 33; Babangida Jalo, 43; and Adamu Yahaya, 31.
